I bought this phone yesterday, so far, I'm not it's biggest fan! Text messaging is complicated and so on. I have a query, is there a way to keep the Sub LCD on when you close the phone? It's really irritating how the lcd just goes off moments after the phone is closed.

What a shame that you can only have an animated gif as a wallpaper/screensaver on the screen inside the phone and not on the outer sub-screen on this phone. If you set an animated gif to the outer LCD it just stays static.
I noticed also on this phone that you can listen to an mp3 music with the clamshell shut but you cannot view a 3gp video on the outer LCD when its shut. If you do close the phone the 3gp video stops playing altogether.
I am sure that the Outer LCD panel is technically capable of displaying an animated gif picture and videos but for some reason Samsung havent implemented it into the phones original firmware.
Shame.

I just bought the phone, and so far i'm quite happy with it.
One thing i dont't know: how to set volume for wake-up alarm?! Or is it always set to wake up the neighborhood too?!
And is it possible to remove those sci-fi sounds when moving around menus? I just wanted to have normal beeps when pressing a key, and nothing else!
Thx u all.

I bought the phone a couple of days before Christmas Day and I am very happy with it but not happy at how much I have to keep charging the phone! - It tends to go very quickly from 3 bars on the battery icon on the display to red and then i have to charge it every other day or sometimes every evening!
I emailed Samsung Technical Support who said it sounded like a battery issue and to try and get a spare battery from my phone suppler (Which would be Vodafone Ireland) and try it with another battery to see if the same thing happens. Not very good though if the battery has gone in it. Its only one month old and some people are saying that there is a big problem with batteries on these samsungs and other samsung phone models. If that is the case then samsung should recall the phones or offer replacement higher capacity batteries free of charge I think.

Well whoever mentioned about the USB cable being in the box being a first was right on the money. My eyes almost fell out of my head!
EVERYTHING is so easy with this phone. My only disappointment was not being able to store MP3's but of course I'm just being picky. I would prefer an easier way of adding contacts to a text message for sending but I'm used to a Sony and texting is their strong point.
I love this phone already and have only had it 2 days. I also agree about the quality of the headphones. The headphones that come in the box are better quality than the headphones you get thrown in with an iPod!

I love this phone. I bought it last week and I'm really happy with its perfomance. The only dissapointing aspect is the capacity of the battery. I think it's a bit short.
Menus asre well organized, very simple and with lot of functions.
I have noticed that the samsung pc studio that is provided with the phone sometimes has disabled this funtions Manage Contacts & Messages & compose MMS Messages.
I've connected 5 times my phone to the pc by usb cable and I only have run the contact function once! I downloaded the most recently samsung software from samsung's site but is always the same problem.
Has anyone experienced this problem???

Hi,
I've got ZV10 and had the Motorola bluetooth hands-free car kit (BTHCK100) installed in my car. The phone can be paired and connects to the car kit without problems, but when I try to use the car kit's internal voice recognition it doesn't work. When the car kit is in voice recognition training mode I don't know how to send the commands to the kit. If anyone has any experience in bluetooth car kits your help would be much appreciated.
Thanks.

I was just wondering how do you put a screensaver on your phone without having to download it off the Vodafone Live! I tried hooking up my phone to my computer via cable put there is no screensaver file to save anything into.

Hi Karan,
I can say that, with the included earphones, the sound quality of the inbuilt MP3 player is excellent.
My son listen to it and said it was better than his CD player.
The earphones is what does it...you get better quality earphones and the sound quality goes up.

Loving this phone at the moment. Got this phone before Xmas for 139.00 Euro with 100.00 Euro free credit in Vodafone shop in Ireland. My previous phone (Motorola v220)could play back mp3 as a txt message tone but unfortunately you can only assign mp3 as a ring tone on the samsung ZV10. I used to have a cool talking tone in mp3 format for the V220 saying 'you have a new text message'.
To save battery on my samsung I have changed the network from 3G to GPRS instead and I think its saves a bit of battery power but I still find myself having to charge the phone a lot.
Trying to figure out if I can transfer Java games and apps from PC to phone using cable but I have a feeling it can only work by WAP.
This must be the first phone ever that I have purchased where they have put the USB data cable in with the box what a welcome refreshing change, thanks Samsung.
The Supplied Sagem PC Studio is not bad but why have they disabled a couple of features in it like Manage Contacts & Messages & compose MMS Messages????
Shame they only give you Demo's of all the games but I suppose they want you to buy the full versions. They didn't seem to put any screensavers to chose either on my phone.
Lastly, what a pain it is that you cannot see the clock on the outer Sub LCD Screen of the phone without pressing a button. Even if in the software/firmware of the phone they done it so that the back light was very, very faint in standby it would mean that you could see the outer LCD display and the clock. I realise though it would most probably shorten the battery life even further though, but if you have it in your pocket and accidentally press the button the backlight comes on full so this must have an effect on battery life.
I think to make the phone audio and ringtones sound better they should have put a good quality speaker at the back of the phone for the mp3 tones and video's rather than just utilise the handsets ear speaker which lets it down and makes the tunes tinny and distorted.
