Read more at http://www.gpspassion.com/Hardware/TheFix.htm and http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Time_to_first_fix. I personally liked the keyboard of C702 at the store. However it does not reach K750i regarding the keyboard. Funny, K850i is the phone I personally find terrible. A colleague of mine has it and it's too thick and also the touch keys, no lens cover, etc. are sth. her and I don't like.
If you are looking for free Gps software which displays real offline maps, there are some around. However they don't reach the level of dedicated commercial navigation systems - at least not before you'll get the next phone anyway. ;)

Man you shouldnt even compare this phone with the k850, this is a middle order handset hile k850 was the flagship of SE.

I just bought this phone 2 days ago, overall performance are okay (rating 8 out of 10), the only problem is GPS, I think it still very early stage for SE phone to have GPS, may be in future phone SE can improve that. If you really need a GPS phone just get the PDA phone, this will solve everything. The keypad is quite small but just nice for ASIAN country user........

Hi Guys....Can I just say first that I am a SE fan and have had SE phones for years. Previously I had the K850i which was a great phone. A couple of days ago I upgraded to this phone and got a good deal from O2. I have now packaged the phone up and am returning it to O2 for a full refund.
I have to say that compared to the K850i this phone is absoloutely terrible and it is so over rated.
The GPS module takes ages to connect to satellites and I haven't yet been able to get a position on the phone even after 20 mins of searching for sats!! The keys are aboloutely tiny and it almost impossible to text. The other features of the phone are just your standard everyday features on any phone and do not do anything to make you feel that this is a high end phone.
As I say I do think SE are great and the K850i was superb but the C702 doesn't come close to the K850i.
I am left in a ponder now. Do I wait a few weeks and go for the Nokia N96, or do I wait for a few months and wait for the SE C905.
SE this phone is really disappointing!!!

NICE cybershot phone!. Love the big screen. How bout the cam quality?,is it better than K810/K800?, anyone tried it?, thanks. Cant wait to buy this phone when the price get more reasonable :)

Hi Guys....Just got this phone. I am after some sat nav software but the wayfinder, which sony recommends is expensive. Does anyone know of any software that is free and will work on this phone so i can use it as a sat nav. Cheers

Can any user of C702 please tell, whether u can save your sms (as backup) in your PC like Nokia Phone? I am waiting for this information before I buy this phone. And one more thing, how is the quality of sound during conversation? Some one said it is muffled and not loud enough!! Is it true?

Price dropped to $399, it should get near $280-$300 in order to become good value for money.

Oh yes, Its price will have to drop. So that i'd be able to buy it. Btw its price is around 400 USD$. 418 on ebay the other day.

Have anybody bought this phone?? How is keypad??? Looks small & delicate. This is the only factor hindering me to buy this phone since I use heavy texting. Honest opinions are highly appreciated.

this fone is £189 on o2 on pay as you go, dont think its doing much good on the market especially considering its a new release

not now, 17 Jun 2008for a 3 mega pixel fon this is expensive. n82 is 5 mega pix... moren82 is also twice the size. also when released the RRP for the n82 was about $850US..i dunno price seems pretty reasonable to me for the c702

k850 has gone down from over $500 to $360 in around 6 months so this phone has to go down below $300 soon(hopefully :) )
