K790i has disappointed me,SE cells r always expensive without havng any operating system like Samsungs.Themes r a farce only change of wallpaper the icons remain same without even a screen saver.Even the Mem card M2 type are too expensive than Nokia ones.So the Grace of Display is only brightness,Sony being a camera company since long, video n qtr screen resolution.Nokia new compatitors hav their own problems basic sofware bugs updates and silly things that Sambian cells only run regd sofwares even themes from wedge or mobile9 r not allowed.It is a mixed bag I bet by year end new generation of cell avail so wait until ur present cells N80,N73,N93,K88,etc become redundant......

To all SE Guyz i have something to share to all of you..
*if you ever saw pictures of K800 beaten by N73/n93(as most people implies) here in gsmarena or mobile-review.com and many many web sites, look at these website which was posted august 12, 2006(as the date implies, firmwares of all this devices are in final already) taken by a photographer from Fotomobieltje.nl,,,

you can look at it's original size and jusge it..
but NEWAY:
the pictures will no show prototype versions as it is posted already after it is released... the pictures taken by N73 here and that site shows what image experts(maybe) and me says:
N73 has too high sharpness so it makes unreal photos while K800 has unusual smooth photos but excels much in color than nokia:

this is also a review from a mobile photography site so don't wonder pictures are NOT Fake...

The phone has a standard equalizer, with a Bass preset included. It does not have a MegaBass setting, because this is a walkman trademark, and this is not a walkman branded phone. However, I feel the bass quality is the same or if there is a difference, it is unnoticable. Overall I am very happy with the speaker, there is absolutely no complaints about it for me. The earpiece may not be loud enough for some, however. But with the speaker there are absolutely no concerns. Talking on the phone using stereo headphones is amazing.
And yes, there is a flight mode.

i m just trying to buy it but i need to know one that i have w800i but in full screen video mp4 dose not show clear picture if sombody have k790i or k800i plz check the mp4 video in full screen..that it shows clear video or just like w800i.......

@ c: All k750i applications can be used on this phone. However, the screen size and resolution is much better on the k790i, so most k750i applications will only show on a fraction on the screen in the upper left hand corner. It isn't very enjoyable, honestly.
@ rkqj: Define "hang". Menu navigation is very fast, faster than motorolas and FAR faster than any symbian nokia I have ever used. When using headphones the volume on the phone is excellent, I love talking on the phone with headphones, one of my favorite parts of the phone. Yes, the lens cover can open up, and it can get dusty. This can be fixed with a simple dry lint-free cloth. Keypad is a little smaller than k750i, but I am used to it, and prefer having a larger screen than a larger keypad. Incredibly loud ringing makes up for any weakness in vibration (the vibration suits me fine). This is the first phone I have owned that I didn't set for maximum ring volume (it was just too loud). I haven't tried sending an email to the service center because I haven't had a single problem, but everytime I walk into Sony Style in my area they are very warm and supportive, even when I make it clear I have no plans of making a purchase. And yes, please do bear the price into consideration, it is extremely cheap for the technology it contains.

For one the phone hangs.
The ear piece volume has its limitations
The lens cover opens up, if stored in pocket. If this happens often, lens is likely to get dusty.
It is slow to response.
The organiser is better then the other phones. SAR is good.
Keypad congested, need toothpick fingers to operate.
If you notice all the other praises are for the camera, not the phone. Primarily it is a phone.
In vibration mode, weak vibration alert.
secondly try sending an email to the service center. And see the reply you get, if any.
Try contacting the service center and see, how many times you got to dial to get a response, if any.
I am not against the phone. Overall i feel except for the camera, the K750i, W800, W810 are as good. Bearing price into consideration.

TR1M, you are absolutely wrong, obviously a hater who does not even own the phone. If you owned it you would understand that the battery life is the best part, lasting far longer than ten pictures, in fact taking pictures seems to have almost no effect on the battery. I have gone days without charging my phone, the battery is second to none. Sure, this phone is a phone first, and that being said it makes it even more impressive. Please specify your complaints, I'm curious to know what about the phone makes you unhappy

Hi,
The 1gb card can be bought for 3k at alpha in mumbai. 512Mb is for 2k. I too have been using this phone, its not all that great. Just the camera is good. Rest nothing out of the world. One should not forget its primarily a phone, and not a camera. Wonder how long the battery will last if you click about 10 pics. This is a hyped phone.

The video resolution of K790 is very poor.SE has to look into this disadvantage of this phone and resolution increased. Many of my friends are relectunt to buy this fone while seeing the poor video quality.The camera works best than imagined.Thanks
