i have heard that it has a joystik problem,and it manifests quickly....is this true...i have this phone and i think it has the same joystik as the k750,and a special membrane to protect the joytik from dust,which causes this problem

I've already tested it. I think it is a good phone, but a little bit to hevay for me. The camera make fantastic pictures, and amazing videos. I already tested the K800i too. This version is better than the k790i with the 3G and the RSS inside the web browser.

hi, i have been using SE k510i n k750i n satisfied with both black beauty at some extend. i have a plan 2 also buy k790i but wait 4 prices down usd300 to 350 n if any problem 2 solve in new firmwear verison. bye

All I can say about the K790a is while it no longer says coming soon on the SE USA website, there isn't a single site on the web that is selling (not even Ebay). My guess would be that they are still shipping it out, and MAYBE stores aren't allowed to sell it until a certain date.
Maybe it will be available by the end of the month.

I doubt the K790a will be out anytime soon. Hopefully by the end of the month.

Dear Akshay... I think thats a software problem as my k750 has the same in the begining and its software was later updates at the service center and it worked fine... But I dont think the K790 has a software upgrade yet...
By the way, how much did u paid for it...

Hello
Well i have been a SE user for a couple of years now....and havent been dissappointed yet....
Got my k790i yesterday....in India......and well I'm worried...
firstly.....it swiches off for no apparent reason and doesnt get powered up again unless i remove and put back the battery once...
after which it works fine...
i think somethign weard happens when its in the standby mode for too long...
Im gonna take it to the dealer tomorrow...
any suggestions as to what might be rong with the phone....
i have already done the master reset once...
just to make sure....but the problem persisted....
Any suggestions......

the only difference is between k790a and k790i is the frequency they use north america does not have 900 but does have 850

heres the run down my k750i's lens keeps bustin and im looking for a phone. i digged the k750 hows this one hang in the hood?
sorry thats how i talk i will try speak normally...how does the joystick go on this phone is it messed up like the k750 or what

Hi dudes,
Difference between the k790a and k790i is none whatsoever. Those are just names given to the same phones which are custom made for two different regions. i think 790a for the asia pacific and 790i for the europe. Thats the basic difference. Language options could change.
difference between the k800 and k790 is that k800 is dual cam cell, with one cam in the front used for video calling. k790 is the one without the second vga cam. Thats why the price difference

I believe the flash can't be used as a light because of the technology advancement. In the K750i, LED lights were used in place for a flash. With a xenon flash in place with the K790i, a sustained light would be impossible. Would be like having a HID light on your phone.

If any online (or B&M) store wants to be smart and make some money, they should start carrying the K790a. There are a bunch of stores listed here that sell the K790i, but NONE of them carry the K790a (which is the version A LOT of people are waiting for). The earlier they get the "a" version and make it available for the consumer, the more profit they'll be able to take in. :)

yeah dont compare nokia and SE phones. every1 knos SE phones r far better.
the 1 thing i dint like abt k790 is that its flash cannot b used as a light like the k750i's flash. ne 1 knos cant it b used that way ?? i m still to kno that
