I initially had a k750i, I loved that phone and I now prefer Sony Ericson than anything else.Very similar but in a smaller form factor.Nice differences like the media player on the main screen is awesome and the vibrating while scrolling through the main menu is cool and unexpecting. For me a few minor things. 1. The buttons are too small for my large fingers. 2 The battery cover creaks when your holding the phone and typing txt messages. Other than that, one again a great phone for SE lovers.

i think the design and colour of this phone is absolutely amazing. the sound is great too! i love this phone!!!!!!!!!!!!

In my opinion and experience , SE phones are way faster than others... Nokia phones are on the slower side.. may be because of less internal memory (all phones i experienced slowness had low internal memory say 6 mb) I'm saying this because ... my friend filled data to his new k750 till 2 mb less than full. When i got the phone, i experienced a big lag in the menu interface. i wondered why this new phone is so slow? Then i realized that its the memory causing the problem.. and i moved all the music files
to the memory card.. then the lag was gone...
u people can try that too.. fill ur phone memory to the full and see how's ur phones menus responds. i think in one or two days u will feel the slowness.

Thanks for your valueable information. But I am really confused between W610i and W580i.
W580i has no flash light, autofocus and memory of just 12 mb but it comes with a 1gb card.It has 2" QVGa screen with 240 X 320 pixels.
on the other hand, W610i has flash light, autofocus with 512 mb card and portable speakers too.Screen size 1.9", 176 X 220 pixels and Qcif screen.
Featurewise both have same features except the pedometer.
Can u please guide me which one to buy. I am goin to buy within a 2 days so need quick response from the users who is using it.

the keypad is good, very good. nothing to worry about. w610i is faster than N73. hehe
yes the software used is really good, so nothing to worry, its fast.

set the option of your camera to VGA and you can zoom

Clock in sleep mode on SEs is usually activated by turning off power savings which turns the screen off completely.
W610 is the name. W610i i for international as oposed to W610c where c is for china.

Please can anyone tell me how you zoom in on things when the camera is in normal mode? I am currently having to put the camera into Burst mode in order to zoom in on objects, although this takes four pictures at a time.
I have had this phone for 3 months and I thinks its brilliant! Since getting a SE phone 3 years ago, I haven't turned back to another make of phone. Their ease of use and stylish features make this phone a worth while buy.

I've been using this phone for about 3 months now. Here's what I think:
- Batteries
The batteries take slightly more than 2 days to run out completely based on normal usage, which I think is fine for a SE phone.
- Camera
I don't agree that the pictures are as clear as those taken by the W810. I have compared the both of them, and W810's pictures are clearer, with better colour. Video by the W810 is also better.
- Keypad
The keypad takes some getting used to, because you have to use your fingernails to type. But I got used to it pretty fast and now it's absolutely no problem at all - I'm perfectly comfortable with it, in fact I like messaging using this phone as compared to other phones. I can type at the same speed with other phones. However, due to this phone's metallic/shiny surface, fingerprints become apparent around the buttons but those can be cleaned off easily.
The only problem I have with this phone is that sometimes the screen goes completely blank while in use and I have to restart the phone. I haven't found out the cause of this, but it happens very rarely so I don't think it's that big a deal.
Putting that aside, I love this phone and its design. Very slim and you practically can't feel it in your pocket. The phone does not lag when you switch between multiple running programs. Sound is amazing, I love the earphones.

The Walkman Player 2.0 is a newer version. It looks much better (you're able to choose skins - black, orange or white, album visualizations and more. Also, the Walkman Player takes the whole screen, and it even shows the hour on the top). And yeah, it supports more media types (ACC+, MIDI, and others). Sound quality is also better :)
And yes, the flashlight can be used as a torch (you can activate it for unlimited time, 1 minute or S.O.S). Is very powerful, it can be compared with K750/W810 torch

About the camera...how good is its autofocus n macro???i quite oftenly used ma k750 for scanning text.is its camera gud enough???

i closely monitored its dummy once :) dint c any problems with the design.some1 was tellin me its keypad aint that comfortable.is that true???it seems somewhat close to t610.isnt it?that surely was one remarkable keypad design.plus how gud is its camera??is it exactly like k750i???
