I own the SE X1 n P1i... for me, the X1 is a powerful phone, but i have to admit sometimes it's to slow to response the click on the touchscreen... but overall i'm satisfied with this..
WinMo & Symbian? next time Android maybe on SE?...

At hand to compare, an iPhone and... morethanks for honest comment, tired of reading crap from bunch of fans(no offence to anyone but please don't full the posts with you feelings just tell facts )!!! one thing if you realy pissed at windows mobile try to use some tweaks found in internet
after 3-4th try you will get some pretty nice programs to tune up your mobile to what you need audio booster,fast camera,inhance the bluetooth, inhance your battry usage and so on (you can even change the ROM to 6.5 its much more easier and user friendly)

filip, 21 Apr 2009I can not download new firmware for my experia! I have down... moretry roms cooked on cda developers they have all links to original roms be sure you choose the type of your rom correctly oryourphone may freeze. all info is there

very bad phone as compared to price. At this wallet bursting price u will get a phone with 65k screen and 3.2 mp camera!!! Also no xenon flash!!! SE very very bad phone.

Look to finish this i used this phone for 2 days before usin it i made update software
in the 48 i kickied his a** more than twenty software 2 gps programs 16 gb micro sd never stop install uninstall and i was waiting a crash nothing happened the performance as it is so pleas shut ** se haters really from professional this phone is a real machine i use it in cafe instead of my net book

this phone is just a beautiful junk.sound volume is too low.there is only one sound output in left side of phone that often is covered with your hand so you will just hear some noise.on screen keyboard keys are too little in order to be pressed by fingers easily.camera quality is bad.images volume don't exceed 350 kb.camera button heavy push for activating camera.It is too slow.message management is not good.it's display quality has good resolution but just support 65k colors and it is not good.when the phone ring often you won't hear the ring and vibration is not as good as it could be.I can say it is toooooooooooooooooooooooo weak in multimedia abilities and will disappoint you surly.it is just a beautiful phone with good specification just in texts not in practice.I strongly recommand don't buy.it don't worth for these prices.

WinMo is horrible. +all the bugs, reception problems etc. just make this phone a lemon.

hw to create power point slides on x1. i opened power point on it but i think its just viewer we cant make new files like word n excel.or i mwrong?

Hmm... how many of you actually own or have used the X1 for an extended period of time? Right. Talk is cheap. Everybody can debate over paper specs and parrot other reviews...
Say you need a real keyboard, not a virtual one. How many phones do you have left? Now let's say you've seen an iPhone and you want one of those bloody big screens, so that means you need a slider. Now how big is your list? A real short list. So like it or not, if you want a "smartphone" with a real keyboard and a "real" screen, right now there are not a lot of choices.
I have to say, I'm not in love with my X1 (yet? ;-) which is unusual for a new phone that I get. Most of the complaints are due to the horrible Windows Mobile. Mind you, it's not just the X1, 2 friends have HTC Touch and Touch Pro and they're not that amused with their phones either.
The X1 panels are actually a good idea and the SE panel is a damn good try once you get it customized. I'm not sure why people are so enthused about the SpB shell. If you have used an iPhone, the SpB shell is not as efficient. You want ALL the icons & info you use regularly on one page, no clicking through. The SE panel enables you to do this (customize!).
I'm happier with the real keyboard than the iPhone virtual keyboard. But I also tried the virtual X1 keyboard. It is NOT as good as the iPhone, but given the buttons are about 1/4 the size of the iPhone, I am very surprised at its accuracy. If you just "trust" it and hit the keys, I seem to get a similar hit rate as the iPhone. But with a real keyboard, no reason to use this much...
The Opera browser it comes with works well, similar to Safari, lacking only the "pinch" zoom. Drag scrolling works okay, the double-click default zoom is handy and so is the volume/zoom. I'm happy with that.
Surprisingly, I don't find the lack of accelerometer that annoying. The only time I need to rotate the screen (typing or movies), it rotates automatically anyways. Though I don't understand why they didn't include one, those things are very small and very cheap.
Lack of Flash (i.e. Youtube) is a bummer, but one thing iPhone can't match: Live streaming TV channels from Japan (via KeyHoleTV).
After more extensive usage, I'm discovering the lag when launching apps/activities from the SE panel isn't so bad 95% of the time. In fact, it's on par with iPhone. The other 5% of the time though....
Imagine this phone with Symbian. Windows Mobile sucks so much.

I can not download new firmware for my experia! I have download software from SE site and nothing happened it stack I try too many times to download and every time is the same im afraid to do that again because there are some warnings about disconnecting before every thing is finished. pls help tnx
