Xperia X1 could have been the BEST Windows Mobile phone only if following things were taken care of :
1. Camera should have been : 5 MP with flash.
2. Screen size : atleast 3.2 inch
3. Touch screen should have been : MORE USER FRIENDLY LIKE IPHONE AND SAMSUNG OMNIA i900.
For now SAMSUNG OMNIA i900 is the BEST windows mobile phone.

It limits any software's interaction to purely software terms i.e no program can access the cpu or hardware directly, any game which needs hardware acceleration takes input from the user and sends a message to the DirectX software which in turn controls the hardware. Now in psp or other dedicated consoles the software(games) can directly access any piece of hardware directly so there is no software lag. Its like this: u r standing near a water cooler and ask someone to come and pour u some water, now won't it be faster to pour it ureself? I hope u get my point.

You are so pathet*c that it shows from every word you write...listen you dum*ass...RAM is Random Access Memroy..its not equivalent to the storage space. In computers you RAM AND HARD DRIVE, Windows XP Pro 32bit support ONLY upto 4 GB(infact less than 4 GB), RAM greater than 4GB is NOT supported and you cannot use it with XP Pro 32 bit..Windows XP 64 bit support it. So most of the people don't use RAM greater than 4 GB, in fact most people are using 2 GB which is fine.
SO RAM is different and storage space is DIFFERENT...you have just showed u sall that you are a d-u-m-b-o and you have never owned a computer you sh*thead.
N97 DOES NOT have 32 GB RAM...its the storage capacity you mor*n
Now please pay all your previous bills to the cyber cafe owner whose computer you have been using...but money is a big problem for you los*r..God knows how many cyber cafes you have changed just to avoid your previous bills...but they are gonna get you sh*thead..and thats when they will show you whats the price of mor*nicness and being an As*hole....LMAO

how the cpu hardware benchmark speedcheck of Sony psp and WMx1, which is faster??
psp deal with 3d games,speed,and alot interface and still running smoothly.. but X1 which 3-4 times more pricy but the hardware speed and batterylife is just SUCKS!
other then just spent time in a eye catching interface, we cant see they have intention to come out with a good handphone of "usage", of course this blame is flaming to all branded WM manufacturers and not sony alone.
as a gud product like PSP, they cant give us a accceptable reason why they cant get us a good HP with:
-faster cpu and interaction of programme(as fast non OS hp)
-more ram to the HP( no lag and hang)
-better batterylife( can last >3 days for middle usage)

All a soft reset is is turning your phone off and then on, or like going to "restart" on desktop windows. There's a program called Pocket Plus, available from SPB that allows you to add a soft reset button to the today screen. Actually, it allows you add one-touch shortcut icons for just about anything, and you can arrange them all in tabs. Highly recommended...

Two things ,,one is i was looking round at software tonite and some jave apps and games max out at 208 x176pixels my goodness that was high resolution 2 or 3 yrs ago and on xperia only fill top left of screen..
2nd i have 2 apps ready to install which require a soft reset,,ive saved them to the device and wondered what soft reset would do,,would it wipe all the data or does it just reboot the xperia causing no probs...It seems daft if you have to do soft reset on these smarfones and it wipes data..Any help would be appreciated,,thanx brynn the non oncologist nurse..

less than 1GB is not plenty when the... morethe most ram ive seen on a desktop computer is 4gb ram,,ram is the short term memory,,rom is the prerecorded memory and your hard drive is the storage..

my battery gets warm but never as warm as some samsungs ive had,,z500,d900..
Started off at 7.30am and had a busy day with it and there is 20 % left so its not an outstanding battery..IT will get you thru a heavy day thats it..I flattened it in 6.5hrs doing full screen video playback at near max volume thru headfones..My n82 did 4-5hrs .
bbc i-player is now available for xperia according to mobilesoftboard.com and neonode have gone into administration,,i-phone will not get flash or java before xmas and palms new nova platform is what i am looking forward to at ces plus docomo have got a 0.04watt chip downloading 100mbps in laboratory..North korea is getting its first 3g mobile networkand RIM are buying someone but cannot remember who..

less than 1GB is not plenty when these days 16GB and 32GB can be seen on specs.
that is 16x or 30x more!
same thing with 56K color.
16M color is about 300x more!
Of course you may not needed.
Some people have different expectations and needs.
Some people listens to lousy speakers some wants real HIFI.
Some people watch NTSC/PAL some people have HD.
If you happy with the performance, enjoy what ever you have.

That is a good decision by SE! WinMo 6.1 is just too buggy.
I guess the new units, X1A, already has the WinMO 6.5.

Even die hard nokia fans are turning towards it, Two of my hardcore nokia fan friends are planning to buy this set, they say that they have never seen such a beautifull screen ever in a nokia set. And every single person that have seen this mobile was mesmerized by this beauty, only d-m-b-o-s and noobs don't like it, like the two lunatics here who are so pathet*c that even when they can't buy anything than nokia 3310 but still keep coming here to post bullsh*t about the set even when they have never seen a real Xperia.
So stop wasting your time and just go for it, you will not be disappointed, even if you have never used a WM device,once you get used to it you will love it.

What´s up with the X1A - new version of X1?
Today is a great day for SE. Finally, the new model is announced.
I told you it is comming and even SE fans had doubt me. :)
IT was a very simple reasoning:
X1 has been delayed over and over again When the net was flooded with complaints - all those people who just wanted something reliable - what a stu..pid idea - it was clear that SE had had worked on the new model since the problems were not fixed.
Is it X2? or what is it?
We should start a new forum :)
I am fully commited to recommend this fantastic new model.
