SE has bad quarters for a long time now - unfortunately.

I wish they would do better and their phone would be better.

I do not regret to return the X1. Actually, I can get it for less than 800 USD now which less than I payed initially.

The price drop is good in general, but not good for SE.
Dropping the price from 1200USD to 800USD in about 2 weeks is wrong planning or reaction to lack of interest.

Initially, X1 was not a big hit, and that time all the problems were not known. Now, the problems are known and obviously the interest is even less.

Se had great designs in the past but the delivery was a problem several times: too late and/or to many bugs.

I think since K850 there was not a great model.

But, even then only a month later the N82 was released - more, better features.

W902 recently released but SE set the price too high - sales are slow.

Se better get back their old engineers!

          from the Cnet review:

"Aside from the interactive panels and a couple of multimedia extras, Xperia X1 is very much like other Windows Mobile 6.1 devices and the aforementioned features don't seem to justify spending the extra dough."

read... "very much like other window mobile 6.1 device"

At $799, it is just not worth it˝

Anonymous, 01 Jan 1970Yes, he is certainly not an MIT graduate :)))

But, not everybody has to be. But, without education, expert knowledge, and experience nobody should provide expert opinion.

His bio got nothing except very poorly written b.s.

SE PR staff getting workup because they can not come up with a credible positive review.
SE has hundreds of millions (USD) for PR - they should able to buy a good review.
Instead they tell their PR staff to abuse and attack everybody who dare to say negative opinion about any SE phones.

Nice job - very creative for minimum wage.

Does this phone has accelerometer? This is an important issue nowadays and I'm wondering if it supports auto-rotate.

Well, SE had some quality issues in the past. Now, SE decided that HTC should make its ´flagship˝.

I always said this was a huge mistake. HTC was not known about high quality manufacturing.

Now, X1 has all kind of problems.

Cracks of the case, battery problems, someone suggested that it is due to current leakage due to ram manufacturing error.

The list of problems are long and getting londer every day.

But, this is another example to share our experiences since people can be aware of them and prevent the long term effects - like return/exchange the unit during the grace period.
