This handset is avaliable in the UK through one of the biggest independant Mobile phone companies.
At the Moment its Handset only pricing at 549.95 but will be avaliable on Orange and O2 Networks, also note this handset is unlocked.

the mere fact that this will be using WinMo completely destroys the whole purpose/sexyness of the phone.
WinMo is by far the worst OS

I understand that this phone records video VGA at 30fps. Since VGA is 640X480, it implies 4:3 image aspect ratio.
SE X1 screen has a 5:3 aspect
ratio. So the question is will videos recorded with the phone be shown in full screen?

I think this phone is fantastic and a definate glimp into the future. Vodafone in the UK say that they will be selling this phone on october the 17th 2008 so hopefully not too long to wait.

The devise is simply not finished yet!I don`t think that they are so dumb to hold the phone in the industry for strategical reasons!!
i`m hopefully going to get my W950i back soon so i don`t need X1 for a while
And bye the time it hits the market(if it actually ever gonna hit the market!)i`m sure there will be better phones out or at least announced(no body announces like SE) by that time so the price will be lower(i`ll have to buy it simfree)
!Still wait to see X1 in real world!bye that time our expectation are higher than now hope it worth our patience.
Still the best for me

O2 will upgrade me for free as I spend on average £110 p/m with them. But I am dissapointed with it as a 3.2 mp cam is old technology, like you say the screen is limited and I don't know far the memory can be extended. Sony Ericsson seem to be looking backwards not forwards. :o(

It's a very cool phone but there is a one question in my mind ,that why SE doesn't use
16M color lcd or at least 256k on this phone?
Can't disign or don't designe?.
any way it's cool and i hope SE doesn't make any X series for 2 years that this phone become chiper so i can buy it.
one more question,
i read on ESATO that price is 1200 USD how much time does it takes to become 350 usd?
Please answer.
does this phone supports WIN32 app?(EXE)
16 bit or 32 bit?
