This phone is essentially defunct technology now and it's time for a new model to be released. The same thing happened with Sony years ago with the successor to the Z1 -Sony seem to get our hopes and expectations up then let us down. I think the Samsung innov8 which has 16 gig etc is probably a better phone.

Anonymous, 01 Jan 1970The thing is, most people who WANT a mini PC will go BUY a pocket PC, or something from blackberry or HTC. Personally I find UIQ much nicer to use. Fair enough, you can do more with S60, but I just don't like the interface. And the N96 is actually a step BACK from the N95 in terms of performance. Just check the review on this websie or ask any N95 owner who upgraded to the N96.
SE promised the Xperia will be released in Q4 2008, and it get's released this week or next by most networks. SE have already shipped it, so how's it late? Nokia rush their phones out and as a result they're buggy as hell to start with. Remember the fiasco surrounding the original N95? If you wanna spout bullsh!t, how about doing it where people won't notice the crap you're talking. If you insist on posting here, get your facts right first...

Another question,,if the xperia screen is resistive type does it have a stylus and if yes is it stored in the fone or stuck on like p800i ???

Wow I think this has got to be one of the most beautiful smart phones, i have had hands on with a first demo version and its got to be a must have phone. With all the touch screen phones out there along with Blackberrys and other smart phones Sony Ericsson have definately offering a different experience with this one. Hopefully it will be out by the the end of OCT and will surely be a big hit

I agree with "mr sensible". nokia's mobiles are crapo, my friend has n80 and lol, rly seems like a plastic chinese mobile xD, I would never ever even think to buy any of this crap, SE for the win!!

i just got off the phone with one of the sony ericsson representative...the xperia is not gonna be available in the US until sometime in 2009 !!
