I want SE to pull up their socks and fight for the number 1 spot. In order for that to happen, they have to listen to what others have to say. Period.

nokia should up the screens on their devices to be honest
but nobody can beat them on features in such a small shell.
also nobody can beat them for reliability when it comes to a stable os

you are very wrong, xperia is NOT the first phone to have a 800x480 display, the toshiba g900 offers this display already and it was released a while ago

is XPERIA X1 had a 5MP, that would of not make it a better Phone.
who knows the 3MP already in X1 Might be as good as K800i's or even better!
stop judging it, X1 isnt even out in the shops yet, and you people are saying its going to be 'Crap' how would you know if you havent seen it ??
forget N-Series, they do have better Video Recording abilities and camera resolutions but that desont make them better phones does it ?

X1 has Windows Mobile and thats Fine, Sony Ericsson is just being 'Unique' as compared to other brands with Symbian dont ya think?
theres nothing wrong with Windows Mobile, its used in PC's! so its going to be Good.....
as for the Screen resolution, X1 is the first phone in the world to have a WVGA Display! ..now compared to N-Series with QVGA Displays ..X1 HAS Beaten them!
and Features are Good in X1 great features for a PDA X1 is a PDA/Multimedia Device running on Windows Mobile.....
so dont get me wrong, its a good device, still has no competetion from any other brands!

Thnaks to all the guys who have given valuable info about the ultimate phone to be launched in the year 2008. This Xperia brand will definitely break the belief that SE is not good enuf to compete with other market leaders. Only SE could dare to try out new things and explore into something like this.Considering that it is being launched after 5.0 MP cameras have already entered the market, the Xperia could ahve sported a 5.0 MP cam. Also I am not sure uptil how much the memory is expandable. If it can come with even 2 GB versions itll be great.

i dont know what you think, how can N96 is better than Xperia.N96 is no QWERTY, No touch screen, short life battery, lower processor speed,resolution screen, RAM and ROM than X1. Which N96 devices is better than Xperia ? Tell me ?Xperia has high devices quality more than N96. About Nokia TUBE ??hahaha you must have much money for this..imagine N96 has lower devices quality than HTC Diamond but N96 is more expensive than Diamond so if N tube has higher devices quality than Xperia and Diamond, the price will be very expensive (MONSTER!!). I think N96 should has lower price than Diamond..

formely i loved Nokia because of Nokia N95 and in that day, the N95 was higher than SE phone specifically. Nokia seller told me that N95 was sold out because the phone has high quality like has VGA resolution video, 5MPs camera and 16M colors devices so many people bought it and spent much money for it then i tried to find out about what the meaning of resolution, colors etc..suddenly i was suprised after i knew what the meaning of the devices..apparently many people bought an expensive phone because the devices but actually they could not enjoyed the devices at real quality..imagine!!expensive VGA resolution video and 5MPs image on QVGA resolution screen,what a shame!! and about 16M colors, actually there is no object has 16M color variation and you can't detect colors as much as 16M variation at once sight..they are useless devices.in other word, there were many people bought the phone without knowledge even they didn't know what the meaning of amount of colors, resolution etc...they were stupid...only smart people will buy this xperia...

furthermore before NOKIA was good but now I don't think so and if you were saying NOKIA were so good they should have this qualities like touchscreen, 500+ mHZ processor, HSDPA that runs 7.2 Mbps, widesreen like XPERIA X1 have, built-im metal like XPERIA X1 and not built-in plastic like NOKIA have and many more...

every country has it's own favorite phones and not all countries like NOKIA so why do you have to compare SE from another phones like Japan and and second if you think your phone NOKIA is superior why are you still here at SE forum site provoking and fighting your NOKIA phone here... tsk tsk tsk... and third not all phones are good like your NOKIA every phone has it's weaknesses and forth your trying to say that SE must improve their screen why do NOKIA have smaller screen that have has 3.5mm jack... heller

Up to this date, nokia has NO device that can stand up against experia, not even HTC diamond. The only upper hand that HTC diamond has over XPERIA is that the fact that they had a pretty cool interface, but, XPERIA has its own special interface too.
XPERIA is the first WVGA screen in the world (when we are not talking about japanese phones). 518MHz+256 MB RAM, this device rox.
Look at the review over mobile-review, N96 clearly does not make any hype since its the same old story with refined specs.
XPERIA is a WHOLE NEW WORLD.

i agree with the comment below actually.
although this phone is an amazing bit of kit, the only reason it is good is because its HTC's.
this phone is superior to every other sony erricson smartphone because...
-it has a 3.5mm jack
-its got a proccessor about 208mhz!
-its got a vga screen
-runs winmob
and sony erricson would never normally include those features

It's time for you SE fanboys to take a reality check.
SE rules, what do they rule? If they rule, they will be number 1 in everything. I am using both Nokia and Samsung handphone and both companies are making lots of effort to improve. Look at the sales of phones worldwide, where is Sony Ericsson? If you compare SE with the Japanese phones like Sharp or Toshiba, there is absolutely no fight at all. Even LG is above SE! Come on SE, I want to see back in the top 3.
Come on, SE . Please improve the following
- Design ( Your design is one of the worst among all the other phone manufacturers)
- Touchscreen ? For goodness sake, Use a bigger screen!
-3.5MM jack for all future handphones
-More highend phones
-Improve your build quality
Blast me as you like, SE fanboys. Please go take a chill pill to reflect what I have to say. Every company will have their own critics and that includes SE. I gave up SE for Nokia and Samsung and I have no REGRETS. D

N tube is not announced yet..if nokia tube is better than x1 but it will be very expensive, look at N96 price is higher than Diamond price eventhough Diamond has higher processor, RAM and ROM, 3D touch FLO, touch screen, higher resolution than N96 etc and how about with N tube price ?? haha it will be MEGATON DOLLARS and when N tube is announced to public so there will be others cool phone with better quality than N tube maybe SE P7 or like that..SE RULE!!!Xperia is enough for me..X1 is the best...

SE is developing Xperia and give developers a chance to upgrade ar finish their application and xperia you saw on video is prototype not real X1 power.look at Diamond has the same processor speed as x1 and smaller RAM and ROM than x1 but diamond is so fast, it means Xperia wiil be faster and better than Diamond..stop your assumtion as if you knew everything...
