All the new high end devices are incorporating VGA or WVGA screens.SE Xperia X1,the new HTC,E-Ten and Toshiba models are all going for proper resolution displays.Thank goodness QVGA resolution screens are a thing of the past.

This is Sony Ericssons' challenger for today's QWERTY design PDA's (i.e. Imate, HTC etc.), with awesome features. Advantages for this are Sony Ericsson had a great camera resolution and accurate features as their trademarks. Disadvantage is this is their first PDA unit experience. Thanks Sony Ericsson.

xda diamond is the same as t-mobile compact IV.From past experience the compact range is usually the prelude(by some months) to superior devices.I think the real tytn II successor will be next year,probably using qualcomm snapdragon tech.

But HTC "Diamond" has specs pretty similar to X1, and its been said that TyTN-II successor will be announced which IMO means an X1 rival since TyTN-II already has some similar specs to X1 im guessing TyTN-II successor since its going to be better that it will have the same specs or even better than X1.

A TyTN III could and should have hardware controls similar to the kaiser.There's 13 hardware buttons and a dpad on the kaiser which makes it easy to use one handed.

@Tsepz
Yeah, it will be very interesting to see what HTC have to offer. I mean, they are manufacturing what is likely to be a "TYTN-III" competitor in the X1 so they either have to beat it in terms of specs or at least equal it.

For me, i am from now on never buying a phone without a qwerty. Voide command are shit, becasue you amagine how people would look at you... The only thing, that will beat the qwerty is commandign the devices with our mind, which isn't expected before 2020. So qwerty will have to be.
As for applications on Symbian, i found quite a lot fo them or my E90, but it was hard, many are not made well. WM has that very better.

this phone ought to do aite. what i would like to see is a 2nd version without the qwerty. its just my opinion, but i would like to see the day when the combination of touchscreen and voice command makes the keyboard am artifact in a museum near you. htc and apple have done it well, and nokia seems to be doing it for next year. a qwerty adds weight and size to an otherwise beautiful and wonderful device.

If you were to compare java applications to symbian you know symbian apps are far better it's the same leap again to compare symbian apps to WM apps.WinMo has a range of really solid programs

There are Symbian S60 versions of those apps Donald Fraser.
Nick
HTC are the OEM of X1, otherwise its mainly built by SE.
Even as a NOKIA user i can't deny that this is going to be quite a device,just judging from the amount of attention its getting, i don't recall a WM device getting this much attention, the 6th of May is slowly coming lets see what HTC has to offer since one of the devices being announced is the TyTN-II successor.
Hmmm. . . . I wonder how many people ive annoyed by posting this, let me get ready for the hating and stup!d nit picking of my posts once again. :-)
