The limiting factor on this phone will be the battery and the processor. To power a WVGA screen that uses WM6.1 you will need at least 2000mAh of power. Why is it that the great SE cannot sit down, meditate and invent low weight high powered batteries instead of attempting to stun everyone with high specs that are not reinforced by high powered batteries. The truth is that the top companies are way behind in battery research.
Concerning processors; I do not believe that the Qualcomm can do the job. WVGA is extremely awkward and needs a powerful processor. SE better look well before they leap!!

Since this has turned into Nokia Zone, let me tell you where I sit!

I got the N95 after reading all the hype, obviously from review sites that were funded by Nokia. I used to have a p910, & although that phone was more limited in its features, it did what it did well, & without fuss. I am a business user, I am 40, & tech savvy. I want a phone that works primarily as a phone but must be able to in some ways replace my laptop for short periods.

The problem with the N95 is that it completely fails to deliver in the User Experience. The most notable annoyance is the slowness with which the operating system makes things happen. It's not super slow but you always have the impression that you are waiting for the phone to catch up with you. This is not just the N95, but a problem with a great deal of modern technology.

The keyboard was far too fiddly, but then I could see this before buying it so that's my fault.

Navigation was slow, again thanks to the operating system. No timed profiles either a glaring omission for anyone who doesn't like being woken up in the middle of the night by texts or calls.

The camera was not bad, & produced decent snaps (I am a pro photographer) for a phone, probably one of the N95 redeeming features. However, don't shut & open the phone too often or the operating system will get stuck again.

The N95 also displays weird traits when it has been plugged in & out of my Nokia wired in car kit. Sometimes the microphone is disabled, so people I call can't hear me. This was very annoying, & means I have to reset the phone.

Personally I suspect that it's the Symbian OS, & its implementation on the N95 that makes this phone suck so badly. I am bitterly unhappy that I was saddled with that phone for 12 months.

I dearly hope Xperia can deliver more

The Xperia X1 is for Professionals who require more than the N-Series can provide.

GPS on the N95 is USELESS.The GPS antenna is housed in the numeric keypad which means you really have to have the device open to use GPS.Garmin v TomTom is a no contest TomTom is in a different league. As we all know TT dosen't work with n95's built in GPS.

The man is crazy! He thinks the N95's screen is able to show detail, perhaps he didn't know the Xperia X1 screen can show FIVE times as much information as ANY N-Series handset. Most N-Series owners are youngsters or have little tech know how generally they are employed in the building trade or are window cleaners and the like.

If your happy with N-Series so be it.Personally I need Office Applications such as Softmaker Office I also require Media apps that play every format(wmv, mov, flv, asf etc)I expect applications such as WM Torrent to function in an acceptable manner, fortunately WM OS grants me this,in contrast to the symbian OS 9 platform where most applications are severely handicapped eg symtorrent was pathetic,Coreplayer for Symbian wasn\'t half the standard of the non commercial WM TCPMP.Web browsing using a N95 was rather irriatating so much so that Opera Mini was the only browser that let me surf without system crashes! What I\'m saying ,it\'s Different strokes for different folks

Established that the N95 is good for the consumer, but is the x1 good for business. Does it have blackberry features as the p990 had. And is it easy to use no figety as previouse SE handsets?

To all you people who are addicted to all cool cell phones in the whole world.

I'll make it short and simple...

Nokia n95 black U.S.version made in finland cell phone is still the winner folks!

                      Why?

                      Simple answers...

                      1) The phone really looks cool
                      2) The phone looks professional as well
                      3) The phone is an mp3 player (You don't really need an ipod)
                      4) The phone is a movie player ( Just download divx and some nice softwares that run all kind of movies and you are good to go, again that burries ipod in to the abyss)
                      5) 5 megapixel carl zeis optics camera that beats most of the digital camera when it comes to clarity of the screen and developed pictures.
                      6) Wow I just downloaded a garmin navigation on this thing and yes it works and its quick too... beat that folks!
                      7) Symbian is all over the net now and thank god It's not something you have to search really hard just to fill up your cell phone with some cool stuff.
                      8) Screen is incredibly clear! Especially watching movies from it and video and pictures as well!
                      9) Size of this phone is just right not too small and not too big or not too long
                      10) MADE IN FINLAND = original!

There folks! You guys shhutt the helll up and admit that this is still the coolest phone ever! n96 is a mistake except for the 16gb internal hard drive. And if you think that Sony Ericsson X1 will be beating this phone, Not true!

Sony Ericsson x1 is ok phone with a touch screen and everything but the phone is awkwardly long! If symbian will be realising some touch screen in the near future, then they must re-do the n95 and make it a touch screen and but don't change the style of the phone. And throw that 16gb too for the hard drive and the phone will be 100% perfect! Right now the n95 is still the winner but only 99% rating in my judgement!

TO Vision: you can use Tomtom, or garmin, or what ever you want, this is not like nokia that charges to use gps. this is free, because you can install what ever you want in windows mobile(well no what ever you want, but you got the point)

I'm starting to cool off this phone a bit. Specs-wise, it really is NO different than the HTC Kaiser or Toshiba G910 in just a prettier package with a more recognizable brand name. The panel UI could still be years behind Apple. Underneath that is still WM. This is still the most intriguing phone to be announced this year, but it's still a wait and see approach for now.
