Sony Ericsson had been coming with excellent phones to date. Windows mobile always sucks! It hangs endlessly. Sony Ericsson is making a wrong move by incorporating Windows in its phone.

Why in gods name is this running WM instead of symbian like every other sony smartphone?
I thought my prayers had been answered until that terrible OS took a steaming pile all over my hopes and dreams

To join the discussion on Symbian and Windows Mobile OSs. I have had Symbian on Noka 9210, 8500 and E90. I have had Windows mobile on PDAs O2 XDAIIs and Atom
I much prefer Symbian it is much more stable and less prone to hanging.
Windows mobile to too prone to resetting all optons and deleting ALL data.
Microsoft has a lot of work to do to get close to the user comfort levels of Symbian.

A very good balance between functionality & style.
Hope this phone is available soon...
As for the people making a big deal about 65k, 262k & 16M colors...
The Windows platform does not natively support 262k colors. It only supports 65k & 16M, and if they go with 16M colors the battery life of the device will ultimately be sacrificed... Anyway, the naked eye couldn't distinguish the difference between 65k, 262k & 16M. The screen is too small to tell such a difference.
And besides, how many of you can tell the color difference of a 262k N80 from a 16M N95? I believe none of us can using just our eyes... =)
Cheers!

Is it just me or do you get the feeling that all the mobile phone manufacturers are holding back?
Why won't at least one of them just bring out the ultimate PDA phone with all the fruit no holding back, I'm talking the best processor with the best touch screen, +5mp camera, QTY keyboard and jog dial, GPS, all connectivity including IR Wifi and BT etc etc ect, you get the point.
I think I speak for us all who visit these websites when I say to the mobile phone manufacturers "don't hold back just BRING IT ON show us what you can really do!

give SE a break since this is their first WM venture. if some of you thought it was cool and all and can afford it, by all means get it when it comes out. and to some who thought that this is not their thing and surely couldn't afford it, could you just please...SHUT UP!
