you have to suffer, 11 May 2022sadly... that wouldnt happen because those chinese companie... moreas if sony xperia 1 IV wouldn't be overpriced with 1400€. for the same money you get a superior huawei xiaomi or honor phone with extremely better camera. just look at the telephoto images in the gsmarena review. the quality is crappy as hell, especially when going up the zoom factor with this new "continous zoom lens". ultra-wide distortion is shocking, resolution is nothing on all three cameras compared to other competitors. it seems to be a great phone at first glance but this sony phone is really inferior in comparison to other phones. then it has a 4k resolution screen. who needs a 4k resolution at this screen size? you won't notice any difference to other phones with e.g. 1300p or 1440p resolution.
in conclusion, sony makes exaggerated specs which are not really useful (e.g. continuous zoom is bad, other phones generate better quality by merging optical and digital zoom images at not optically supported zoom factors), it is just for advertising.

Does anyone else bother the 21:9 aspect ratio? I have the Sony Xperia 5 II and back then I thought this might be the perfect phone. But I really started to dislike that aspect ratio because every content on this phone has pillarboxing.
There's a reason why manufacturers stopped producing TVs with this weird aspect ratio.

Okay Guys. To first clear the confusion of if Charger gonna be included or not. It will, the Production version will come with 30W Fast charger. Better than not getting one at all.
What we are getting this year is mostly the improved quality of almost everything that was there last year. But the improvements are huge and noticeable.
XPERIA 1 III was so good with what it had to offer. That SONY decided only to move further on improving it instead of reworking it. Which was absolutely the best choice they made. I guess First for SONY because usually they ruin it by a rework.

I love about Sony, that they are a capable company, they can make many firsts in the industry. It is a surprise seeing a continuous optical zoom from them this year. With a better marketing strategy they could get some more fans for sure.

Thank you Sony, for keeping MicroSD and 3.5mm jack on a flagship. We need to break that ridicilous trend to remove them on new flagship. This would be my new phone if it lands on Turkey market.

the major question to sony is: why on earth should i buy such extremly expensive smartphone from Xperia 1or5 series, when the battery is useless after maximum of 2 years !?
