I don't care which processor is faster. As long as it fast... 845 or a12 or 980, whatever..

Wait for President Trump tweet on this issue. It should close the subject once and for all.

Anonymous, 24 Sep 2018face the truth real customer's are looking for good looking... moreFully agree. But I would replace 'performance' with 'flagship status prestige' or 'street cred' or 'top of the food chain'.
In other words, people don't believe performance is a differentiator. So it's a trade off between affordability (price) and show off (looks and model status).

Anonymous, 24 Sep 2018As if some of the people here are using highend phones 😂we are all respectable businessmen with standards here.

ALL companies cheat on benchmarks. Also, curiously, processor speeds can almost never be measured in exact terms, because Companies have screens with lower resolutions. The problem with Samsung in its UI, curiously is not having icons with lower resolutions, apart from the skin on top of the Android UI. That prevents their phones from being the fastest.

                          With Benchmark mode.

                                  agree or disagree ??
this is what real world looking for ..

Yeah sure and Huawei is number one brand in a world. You no need to be genius to know it's nonsense. Kirin 980 is in Apple A11 and exynos 9810 territory, according by Huawei itself showed numbers in single score on GeekBench is only 3300, which is nothing to brag about 9810 and A11 is faster not even mentioning A12, multicore performance is unknown so far, but usually multi core is less important, knowing heavy restrictions of power and efficiency mobile soc are based on, few applications without benchmarks ever run all 8 cores at the same time, so Huawei completely talked nonsense here. We don't know about GPU, to be honest g76 looks promising, but we need to wait further benchmarks(doubt it will be faster than A12 GPU)

                                      2015 - A9 > 810
                                      2016 - A10 > 820
                                      2017 - A11 > 835
                                      2018 - A12 > 845

Actually, the A11 vs Snapdragon 835 was a little closer. The iPhone 8 Plus/X just had lower RAM. But it's fairly clear the A12 is faster than the 845.

It wasn't until 2015 when Apple was beating everyone. Both 6s and SE have that chip plus 2 GB RAM that should last them for a good 5 years. The A7 and A8 were not that fast when released. Apple's SoCs didn't hit their stride until the 6s arrived with the M9 GPU.

And for people complaining that Qualcomm modem is superior to Intel, check this chart out. Another reason to get the XS.

I'm getting interested in the iPhone XS. The gap between the XS vs XS Max isn't huge. Same camera, same amount of RAM. The glass seems stronger. The battery life is fairly close. Too bad I hate iOS and can never truly use it as my daily driver.

First apps I always download for my phones are Nova Launcher Prime, Kiwi Browser, QuickPic, SwiftKey, ES File Explorer, Call Blacklist Pro, and MX Player Pro. With the exception of SwiftKey, you can't find the rest in the App Store. There's just enough limitations or restrictions that I can't use iPhone as a daily driver.

Speed tests means nothing to me if driving around Apple's egosystem is really like being inside a gated community with speed bumps.

Also in single core? Because that is the area Samsungs apple bionic soc is the king.
