      This is only for shoes. It is expected Americans will suffer from many negative effects. The government and the rich may not suffer much, but the general public will have to pay for it soon. It was really unfair IMO. There will not be much impact on the President and the top ones though.

        Better buy Nokia phones, such as the new 9 Pureview.

        Zeiss lens, great performance, is not Chinese that generates problems with Google, etc.

The US citizens will soon be paying double for most established brands and after that follows the hit on the companies like Walmart, Target, Amazon, which still have stock now but soon will be raising the prices. They admitted it themselves. The Chinese import in the US account for close to half the clothes, and more than 70% of the footwear. No American company can currently replace this quantities and the ones that will be trying to fill in the void will be doing it at higher prices. Soon a lot of people will be wearing Pakistan-made sweatshirts to work instead of suits

                Americans won't pay for high commodities coming from China. It's not like Americans can't find another product. Americans are not handcuffed to China's goods.

Do you think any big US company, especially Apple, is going to lose months (even years) and invest billions in order to relocate its production, and then on top of that it's going to cut its profit margin. This ain't happening. All the expenses will be carried over to the consumers. Of course, they'll blame China or Trump, but the result will be all the same. A lot of US companies going bankrupt or losing billions and the US consumers not being able to afford a lot of everyday commodities, let alone a new apple smartphone or any flagship phone for that matter.

                          Sure, Samsung manufactures a lot of chips and Display panels but, those are manufactured by other companies too. Samsung is not the only supplier of storage or memory chips and displays. Some even argue that there are better manufacturers than them in some aspects.

A freaking potato is so cheap. What about salt.. what about the fuel needed to transport it.. what about the size of the packaging.. what about the R&D into the taste?

Do you think China will afraid just b... morethere are a lot of choices in there. ever since i did use phones i'd never encounter nor see using my devices that is made in china. my samsung devices are all made in korea but the price is same as it offers with other stores. my blackberry they are all made in mexico. my nokia way back 2013 and below years past are made in brazil/german. and my sony is made brazil. never been tried using devices that are made in china.

But has anyone considered this might be a hit to bring a US company ( APPLE) a better overall profit what will benefit the US in the long Run. Could be all over thinking but the issue is there.
