China forces by law all international companies doing business in China to have a local Chinese partner and also to transfer the know-how to the local Chinese partner, thus stealing intellectual property of international companies. When Chinese companies do business in Germany or US or UK etc. they are treated the same as local companies and also are not forced to transfer know-how to the local partner, in fact they don’t need to have a local partner at all in the host countries. In addition Chinese government forces by law the Chinese companies cooperate with Chinese secret service, and since International companies doing business in China are forced to have a local Chinese partner, indirectly also international companies are misused and forced to cooperate with the Chinese secret service. Hence it is right and legit for western countries/companies to sanction Chinese companies from doing business internationally, unless China government removes laws that enforce stealing intellectual property and removes obligations to cooperate with the Chinese secret service.

Android is literally too big to fail now, it's used by so many things and people all across the world. Everything from smartphones to tablets to smartwatches to smart TVs to set-top boxes to digital cameras to cars to even home appliances uses it. And good luck getting non-Chinese developers to build apps for an obscure platform that nobody outside of mainland China uses lol.

When they moved to China, it was profitable & were willing to partner up with Chinese companies. China did not force those companies to move there. They moved because of cheap labour & internal large market.

One of the main reasons why people use Google apps is because everything is synced so well across various Google apps and platforms. Who wants to use separate apps for every single basic task?! Those people must like torturing themselves lol. And besides, you can't use their first-party apps, and tons of other Android apps, without Google Play Services anyway. Your pride and ego won't accept the fact that this company is royally screwed. If I were them I'd focus on China and forget about the rest of the world because the company, and the country as a whole, are showing no signs of changing their wicked ways.
