It will focus on releasing high-end devices.

Yves Maitres should read these comments, they know the best smartphones.

If HTC could improve their brand quality and service quality, they are able to compete.

It's a horrible experience back then, the LCD screen keep pop up and their service rating was 2/10.

HTC.. when you make a android phone. Remember to please your fans. Don't copy Apple.. it will be your downfall.

Long ago, you got your winning recipe. HTC HD2 for instance. WinMo. Large screen, sd slot, jacks, removable battery. The evo series.. droid series. That iconic clock widget..

Then you decided to start your One M series.. Low storage 8/16gb, NO slots, NO removable battery, HUGE bezels. (Compared to your competitors).. Your sales start dropping.. You got confused, said you talk with your fans.. why still fail. Because those fans are Apple turncoat!! They tried to bring Apple features to android.

Tip. Make an android phone, where android user wants. Stop looking at Apple. Backtrack, look at your successful old builds, REMASTER them! Don't worry if you still have Jack / Slots / Removable battery.. People will buy, they will not say its old legacy.

              I'd rather pay $600 for U12+ than $300 for mi8 or op6t.

Just be smart about it htc

My HTC One (M7) was one of my favorite phones. HTC used to be a leader and innovator. I don't know if they can come back, but I would sure welcome it if they did by doing their own thing and bucking the awful 'trends' in this industry. Start with _1_ model (not a 'One' family like they did in the past), do it right, and support the hell out of it.

HTC has been powering Google Pixel devices, so it's fair to say that HTC hasn't been active.

No need for flagships, it's too late. They need good midrange phone with 730 CPU, big flat >6.5" 16:9 screen, no notch with minimize top+bottom bezel, 6-8gb ram, 128gb storage min, big 5000 mah battery, and unlocked bootloader. To keep the cost down, there is no need for pop up camera, under fingerprints, curve screen, ip 68. It will sell. I get one for sure.

I really hope they can make a come back ! I loved HTC a lot in 2014 and 2015 and I was super happy with HTC M7 and M8 and I hope to see the M series revived. I know you can do it HTC.

The reason they failed is because they stopped doing their own things and started following competition trends and catering for higher end market. They will never go back to how they were 7-10 years ago.
