Motorola gave us something the same and something different at the same time.

Only the Baby Zoomers wouldn't understand what the big deal it is with flip phones. Most Millennials will since the RAZR was probably their first phone during the mid-2000s. If you were born from the early to mid-1990s, RAZR was it. This was before the smartphone era began. It was the pinnacle of flip phone design. It still is and it's back.

            Definitely not bothered with Samsung Galaxy Fold or Huawei Mate X because they are basically an Android tablet that can folded into half. I definitely don't mind SD710, Oppo Reno and Nokia 8.1 also uses that same chipset and it is still butter smooth and perform well to rhis day.

            The new RAZR 2019 is a big YES for me, will definitely buy one if I have the chance to do so.

              Not crazy about the price, mid-range SoC from 2018, and the OnePlus 6 camera sensor. I get all that. It's still lust worthy for a demographic like me who are throwing any level of rationale and logic out the window because this is the best design we've seen in ages. And it took a 15-year-old design to make things feel fresh again.

              It's the firdt real RAZR since the RAZR 2 V9. I don't count the DROID RAZR or whatever. It's like owning a RAZR with a touchscreen and Android for the first time ever. Again, I wasn't even a fan of the original RAZR! I never cared for it. I haven't cared for a phone with this much excitement since the original iPhone. And that was expensive and had a ton of flaws too. Still changed the game.

If you upgrade the battery, then the phone is significantly thicker and you'll have a 3.5 to 4 inch folded razr. That is why I believe the Fold will ultimately win out. You can do more internally. Samsung just has to make it look more like a Kit Kat bar or a Hershey's bar as opposed to the Butterfinger design it is now.

                    There needs to be a no, this phone is ugly, folds out to a normal slate with a huge hump at the bottom and I wouldn't buy it for $300 option.

                      Personally I think the design is brilliant and what a folding phone should be. However we're still limited with what current tech is possible to do so I don't think we're getting a flagship spec Razr in the near future.

                        Design-wise, it's exactly the way the future folding phones should be. A real foldable phone, not some chunky boi tablet/phablet hybrid that's fukken huge even in the folded state.

                        Specs-wise, it's uh... I understand that they're aiming at people who don't care about specs, but still, for 1500$ they should've gone for Snapdragon 855, or at least Snapdragon 730 if they're aiming for battery efficiency. Snapdragon 710 is neither powerful not battery efficient, it's just a lazy way to maximize profits.

                          Everyone should know the FlexPai because JerryRigEverything did tests on that thing. I thought every tech heads like this community here watch JerryRigEverything. There's no way they miss it.

                            This week Motorola brought us the third foldable screen phone and it's quite unlike the first two (we haven't forgotten about the FlexPai, but everyone else has so we aren't counting it).

                            So you will lie to people because everyone else does?

                              Personally the SD 710 isn't really a problem for me since it should handle most modern tasks just fine, the 2500mAh battery is a problem though. Not sure how it'll do under real-world usage since it has an OLED panel coupled with an efficient processor but that kind of number doesn't look too good for most people

                                I think its main problem is the width. Despite being foldable, the screen is very narrow and long, so it doesn't really have an advantage over typical smartphones. I wish the Razr had a wider screen than typical smartphones, then it would be a huge improvement.

                                    You're missing an option: "No, because the phone is still uncomfortably oversized when open. Why can't manufacturers dispense with the gimmicks and deliver high spec SMALL phones? My aching hand, ow."

                                      When I hear "foldable" I still think of Nokia Morph concept. What I love about it is really small footprint when folded, but unfolded into a tablet makes is really big. But to get this size, one needs to fold it 2 times. We are yet to see a real product like this.
                                      Also, we need a small revolution in battery tech. New Razr has 2510 mAh battery, for 6.2" screen. That shouldn't be even acceptable these days.

                                        The design, specs and the price! All are not right!
