I would suggest that they don't need to go stupid cheap, they can preserve a decent price, provided they produce something worthwhile. Sony really need some epic photography in their devices. They are not miles off, just need bits to improve.

Nohur waleed, 28 Apr 2020Sony Xperia Compact phones is better to hold in one hand th... moreI totally agree coming from Z5c. A 5.5" xperia 5 may just be the right size for a compact in today's standard. I opted for the note 10 as the X5 is as tall as my XZ3 only slimmer.
Sony do not have a plan in making a compact this year so I'm trying out a Samsung for the 1st time. I like it's squarish design and screen to body ratio but I wish it to be a bit slimmer for easy grip.

No amount of 360 deg audio or DTS garbage will enhance the experience and compete with big screen 4k TV.

First of all realise that Sony is nothing in mobile realm and start to sell phones with Realme prices and rebuild brand from scratch. Second, keep up with a trends and not sell outdated hardware. Sure, Sony pride and maybe board of incompetent members thinking it is Sony and Sony would not sell anything cheap, but whatever they doing has not been working since they broke up from Ericsson.

Now all they need to do is work on their marketing and pricing, and make this beauty available in all markets! There are many in India who prefer Sony mobile over almost every other brand coz of its beauty, functionality, the amazing natural producing picture cameras and features that make sense and don’t feel overwhelming.

The fact that Sony doesn't manufacture or assemble their products in China is great. kuddos to that!
People are crazy about 8k video recording on phones when less than 5% of the TV owners uses an 8K TV lmao

I'll probably get the Xperia 10 or Xperia 5 II, depending on price and availability
