Bcz huawei make high end dev... moreThere was info that OPPO was planning on it which could be a great Jumpstart for huawei in China as OPPO, being a brand of BBK will eventually end up as a good thing for huawei as at least a few products from all of the BBK companies would eventually use HarmonyOS.

It's modified Android but without Google apps and looks like iOS. No thanks. I already use Android and iOS together. I need Google services.

Don't forget... The PR is not where the technology really is... It's build on AOSP and it will take time for it to deviate... At least for now and for phones and tablets... They didn't deliver os presentation, it was an ideology presentation with devices yet to come...

They have a solid user base just as much as Apple and Samsung who'll be glad to install said OS. I'd be curious to try it if installing apps goes smoothly. Even if 9/10 apps install I'd hesitate to switch. 99/100 is good enough.

I know many people here in Scandinavia which will love to get another OS and no longer support America, people here don't like all the lies, trade ban etc etc.
So I will look forward to sell my trashy Sammy (SD) S21 ultra and get a cool Mate 50 pro with Harmony... Huawei actually have a good working eco system and always working hard and fast to innovate things 🙏🏻👌🏻

it is promising based on the introduction video...
but will it be like "google"?
i mean... i like the old concept of android when it was not yet bought by google...
aosp anyday... no interchange of data between apps, they just work indeendently, on their own sandbox... the os will just work on how to efficiently pass on resources to the apps needing it...
as promising as it may seem... i still do not see myself buying one with it soon, or any huawei for that matter... i will patiently wait...
by the way, i still love my two windows phone... working, but no more app market...

Harmony OS is just modified android that's why it can run all android apps without any issues.
even their emui is a mix of iOS & OneUI features
