Same prices as Galaxy S22 & iPhone 13 series (depending on a store) which is crazy but okay.

Aan2007, 17 Feb 2022oneplus may be selling more, but they still sell nothing, i... morePoint is:

Device like OP8 Pro in 2020 was more popular than OP3 was back in 2016.
So, why OnePlus would change the policy now when they are selling easier phones at $900 than when the phones were $400?

Same for xiaomi. The proces are about 3x what used to be 4 years ago, still sales of flagships are better now.

Based on this, obviously both feel in position to charge this amount.

Anonymous, 17 Feb 2022Forget it, better deal elsewhereAgree with the price gone up yet they downgrade the camera with bad ultra wide and telephoto lens is very bad

Better battery life like I and many Xiaomi reviewers say comes down to killing apps very fast and it has it's downsides i.e. missing notifications and longer loading times when switching between apps. E2200 with keeping apps in RAM could even be faster in normal use than a SD8 G1 when the software always kills the apps but we'll have to wait to find out.

AnonD-994853, 17 Feb 2022Xiaomi 12 should be $699 max to compete with S22 And 12 ... moreIndeed! The pricing is crazy especially when compared to what the established manufacturers are offering in unique features and costumer support (i.e., not just updates but also service shops pretty much everywhere across the globe).

Fast charging is nice and all, but we have already reached the peak in usefulness: it's already fast enough that all improvements as technically impressive as they may be will be minute in utility. Furthermore, that was OnePlus brand identity and selling point -- Xiaomi isn't setting itself as "unique" but rather as the ones that arrived late to that party and are overcompensating for the tardiness.

Fix the pricing and you may have an impressive offering. Otherwise, it's just another unremarkable proposition to add to all other unremarkable propositions from other manufacturers.

For me the phone is quite average , multi telephoto and ultra wide is below flagship grade, performance is limited only the speaker with 2 channel separation is quite innovative

Redicules prices. Something tells me I am going to stay with the S21 for a looooooooooong time.
Today's economy is badly hit and unemployment is high. How do they come with such prices, is beyond me.

And the only one that will be readily available will be the weakest as usual.

I'm not an update junkie, I'm quite happy as long as the version I'm using works as intended, however if I'm going to buy a new phone I'd refuse to pay for a model without the latest version of Android especially at this point in time when android 12 has been out for so long. This practice needs to be called out for what it is, it's a 'scam!' No phone should be shipping today running Android 11 out of the box.

What is up with the prices?

1200 Euros for 12 Pro 256GB? Xioami is out of their minds thinking people will pay such a price for phones with just mediocre camera setup with just 2 years of software updates. Basically looking at Xiaomi now even Samsung S22 Ultra looks like a good deal for what you get, plus 4 years of updates. Can just imagine upcoming 12 Ultra price...

                            Prices themselves don't really matter..
What matters is what you are getting for that money, and these phones are overpriced as hell compared to the 11 series. (I paid 1250$ for my mi11ultra and don't regret one cent of it).
For example the 12 Pro has lost its IP rating AND periscope telephoto 5x compared to 11 pro AND has a SMALLER main sensor (1/1,28 vs 1/1,12) than last year.
The new Chipset is a bit faster than 888 but A LOT hotter, so it's actually worse. SO, the 12pro is just a worse 11pro but for the premium price of the Xiaomi 11 ULTRA.
So if a 12 ULTRA comes this year it will probably be the exact same (or even worse than!!) 11 ULTRA but will cost at least 1500$ or more.

                            ALSO:
Still no under-screen front camera in 2022 (mix 4 doesn't count since it's only FullHD- so that's not a flagship).
Where is the 200w Xiaomi teased us with LAST YEAR??

                            XIAOMI IS DISAPPOINTING.
Nobody will buy their stupid 2022 phones.

I really hope the Xiaomi 12 Mini is still a thing. It would be pretty cool if they announced it along with these for the European launch.
