I just traded in my S8 only because it was draining battery faster than it would charge. It lasted me this long without any problems except for a couple of technical hiccups during the week I traded it in. Loving my Pixel 6-pro though.

S8 was launched in March 2017 and we are in August 2022. It makes the phone 5 years and 4 months old. And why does it matter if it is 5.5 exactly or not ? You must be really bored to write such non sense. The point is that phone got updated and I know a lot of people who are still using it.

I installed the update, all good.
I guess Samsung didn't pull a beta testing android 9 over again xD (I mean the first version of android 9 was so bad it almost fried my phone, in 2 days I downgraded for one year until it got hotfixes)
