My biggest mistake with Xiaomi is that I bought my Redmi 5 Plus just in time when I knew there was this Redmi Note 5/5 Pro that's just a few dollars more (still within my budget) and offers much more.
I'm afraid that when I buy this Redmi Note 7, Xiaomi will announce the Redmi Note 7 Pro, which is just a few dollars more as well, but with better SD675 and Sony IMX586 sensor.

How about the ad-filled OS? It's like everyone is forget about it when it comes to reviewing Xiaomi's phone. I mean, it's not like you get the phone for free, you paid for it and still got ads whenever possible.

It is just a matter of time when Redmi will release "cheap" flagship, or do you think they will keep releasing only 150 € phones? Like I said before, Amoled with NFC and midrange cpu for good endurance and I can finally get rid of my ancient Redmi Note 2 (which is still working fine by the way)

This phone seems to be the complete package. Glass back, USB C with support for fast charging, great camera, decent screen, great battery life. Xiaomi is KILLING it. My only suggestion that would set this apart from many midrangers is if it had stereo speakers although the bottom firing speaker being loud is quite sufficient

Solution: Unlock bootloader, install TWRP, then install Xiaomi.EU dev / stable ROM to unlock 4K video recording. Also ad-free & generally faster performance compared to Xiaomi's own MIUI ROM.

Great phone, unlike RN6. Definitely raise "budget" smartphone bar. Also, putting galaxy A6 there is kinda cruel.
Now if xiaomi can offer 5.7", pocketable one

Amoled on a 12 k phone is definitely possible.
